Networking as a writer…Getting other peeps who dig what you do.

So the writing stereotype has gone through a number of new definitions in the last few years. Your traditional writer-Is shy, introverted and possibly an alcoholic with few friends except his book characters. Let’s just admit there may be some Bi-polar issues. The female version drinks less and has more cats.

Today’s Modern Writer-Could be this but frankly you’d be hard pressed to get ahead in life. It is almost a requirement that they put themselves out there through Blogging, Instagram, Twitter and all those social media sights that tries to get you to buy their books.

The best ones are the ones who can sell themselves. So now writers are sales people which means the total opposite of the stereotype. You can’t be shy. You can’t be introverted. And you must get involved.

This was just a short post but I will have more on this in the future and what works and what doesn’t.
